On August 21, 2023, the Youth Debate Forum strengthened the capacity for democratic engagement of the Organization of young candidates (22 to 27 years) for the 2023 Mayoral elections, whose aim was to make the voice of youth heard and propose innovative solutions to the challenges facing their community. To this end, the Youth Debate Forum’s Campaign Management Institute trained the Organization at the headquarters of the candidate, Traoré Issouf Olivier, in Anyama, on topics such as: 
Political research; drafting and implementing the campaign plan; fundraising; media development and production; budgetary and financial supervision.
The main objective of the Youth Debate Forum is to reinforce youth voter engagement, create a new generation of young Ivorian leaders, and pacify the violent Ivorian democratic process. Its mission is to contribute to responsive, stable, and self-reliant governance in Côte d’Ivoire by increasing the number of youth leaders within civil society and government who possess the tools to advocate, understand, and react to their needs in a participatory fashion.
